Global Citizenship CMU is an online learning platform by the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University, offering in-depth courses on politics, citizenship, and global issues. The platform is fully bilingual (Thai/English), mobile-responsive, and designed for seamless course delivery and fast loading. Graphio handled the full UI/UX design and web development, creating a modern e-learning experience for CMU students and lifelong learners in Thailand and beyond.
Turning a vision into a real platform
CMU wanted more than a static website. The brief was to create a real e-learning platform that:
Hosts structured online courses in global citizenship and political education.
Serves both CMU students and external learners through clear login/registration flows.
Works smoothly on mobile, with quick access to courses, instructors, news, and short programmes.
Balancing academic depth with usability
The content itself is dense: political theory, global citizenship, SDGs, and social issues. The platform had to:
Present complex academic material in a way that feels approachable and intuitive.
Support long-form course content, news, and MOU/intensive programs without overwhelming learners.
Keep a strong CMU / Political Science faculty identity, while still feeling like a modern digital product, not just a university info page.
Access & identity
We also had to respect CMU’s existing systems and identity rules:
Separate login modes for CMU students (cmu.ac.th emails) and general learners, using email-based access links instead of passwords.
A structure that can grow with more courses, more instructors, and future global citizenship initiatives without needing a full rebuild.

Global Citizenship CMU went from being an idea and scattered materials to a fully functioning e-learning platform with:

A clear path from “interested in the topic” to “enrolled and learning” in just a few clicks.

Learners now:

Can explore all courses, instructors, and news/events in a structured way, instead of digging through PDFs or generic pages.
For the faculty, the platform acts as a living hub that can evolve with new courses, MOU programs, and content around global citizenship and political education in Thailand.
Stronger digital presence for CMU & Graphio
The website openly credits Graphio as the development partner (“Powered by Graphio”), reinforcing our position as a Chiang Mai–based web and app development agency delivering serious, production-grade platforms for universities and institutions in Thailand.
This project showcases how we take an academic concept— global citizenship education —and turn it into a real, usable digital product: a custom e-learning platform designed, engineered, and optimised end-to-end by Graphio.
